¿Qué tienen en común Albert Einsten, Pablo Picasso, John Lennon o Steve Jobs? Un científico, un artista, un músico y un empresario, todos ellos, tienen algo más en común que la fama mundial. Son reconocidos gracias a las aportaciones que han proporcionado a nuestra cultura y a su ardua constancia en el trabajo.
Pero, ¿qué les ha llevado a conseguir estos logros? ¡La creatividad! Gracias a esa chispa que accionó su cerebro, estos genios han ayudado a la creación de nuevos avances científicos y artísticos para nuestra sociedad actual y en la cual originaron un gran cambio.
La creatividad se define como la habilidad de producir conclusiones nuevas y valiosas, es la capacidad de un cerebro para resolver los problemas de la forma más original. Puede adaptarse a distintas disciplinas (arte, literatura, música, ciencia…), no es de un área específica. ¿Te imaginas saber cuánta creatividad almacena tu cerebro? Existen distintas pruebas para medir el nivel de creatividad de uno mismo, y saber si llegarás a ser un futuro Picasso, Lennon, Einstein o Jobs.
Existen multitud de pruebas sobre cómo tiene cada uno de desarrolla la creatividad, desde Símbolo Ingenio Creativo compartimos las dos que más divertidas nos han parecido, para que puedas conocer cuan genio creativo eres.
La primera es la Prueba Christensen-Guilford, consiste en mencionar una serie de palabras que contengan una misma letra, ya sean de la misma categoría o que empiecen por una vocal. También pueden construirse oraciones de cuatro palabras que comiencen con cuatro letras específicas.
La segunda se llama Prueba Torrance de pensamiento creativo, a partir de una imagen que contiene acción, las personas crean las posibles consecuencias o las causas de cómo pudo producirse la escena.
Es muy compleja la imagen que la neurociencia ofrece de la creatividad, los tipos de personalidad creativa son difíciles de determinar, ya que tienden evitar la rutina, además de ser bastante complejos y paradójicos. Pero, no por ello se ha de encasillar de “artista torturado” a aquel que posee una gran creatividad, la cual está condicionada según las influencias sociales.

What do Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, John Lennon or Steve Jobs have in common? A scientist, an artist, a musician and a businessman. All of them have more than worldwide fame in common. They are recognized by the contributions they provided to our culture and their hard work.
However, what has led them to achieve these accomplishments? Creativity! Thanks to that spark that triggered his brain, these geniuses helped to create new scientific and artistic progress in our society, in which they originated a big change.
Creativity is defined as the ability to produce new and valuable conclusions; it is the ability of a brain to solve the problems in the most original way. Creativity can adapt to different disciplines (art, literature, music, science…), not only to a specific area. Can you imagine how much creativity your brain stores? There are different tests to measure the level of creativity of oneself, and whether you will become a future Picasso, Lennon, Einstein or Jobs.
There are many tests on how much creativity is developed, and in Símbolo Ingenio Creativo we share with you the two most fun we have seen.
The first is the Christensen – Guilford Test, which consists in mentioning a number of words containing the same letter, whether in the same category or beginning with a vowel. Sentences of four words that begin with four specific letters can also be constructed.
The second is called Torrance Test of Creative Thinking: from an image containing an action, people create possible consequences or causes of how the scene could occur.
The image about creativity that is offered by neuroscience is very complex. Creative personality types are difficult to determine, as they tend to avoid routine, besides being quite complex and paradoxical. But that does not mean that artists who possesses great creativity have to be seen like «tortured artist «, what is conditioned according to social influences.
