The National Industrial Property Institution (INPI, France) received more than 50 orders to register the logo «Je suis Charlie» widely used after the attacks on Tuesday, the 13th of January in France.
Nowadays we can find a lot of products like shirts, stickers, pins with the incredibly famous slogan, sailing on the internet and in different shops. The industry takes the advantage of such a great opportunity to commercialize their products.
Some, like Ebay and Amazon, promised to return the benefits to the satirical newspaper that the last week suffered an attack. 12 people were killed at the hands of Islamist terrorists, and among them the main illustrators and the creatures of the famous comic strip. But the question is that why, such, without a doubt, an unjustifiable terrorist act, has become so popular, taking into account that nowadays, unfortunately, the terroristic acts, even graver happened frequently, but sometimes we even do not know about them? Why we can not give the same importance to other terrorist attacks that happened in other countries and with other nations?
In a short period of time the domains jesuischarlie.fr, jesuischarlie.com and jesuischarlie.org were registered. Carried by the fashion and the moment….Are You Charlie, Mexico, Nigeria and Who will you be tomorrow?
